Clavicle fracture.

As of last Sunday, 1/27/13, I happened to take a fall while snowboarding which resulted in a fractured clavicle. On Tuesday 1/29/13 I saw an orthopedic an he told me to just leave it as is and let it heal. Here's a picture of the x-ray, http://imgur.com/mXK2w3C and a picture of it in its current state, http://imgur.com/a/pB01G The orthopedic had mentioned that there would be a slight bump however, it seems like a pretty substantial bump to me. I am worried that when it does heal (assuming I leave it as is) that say, a backpack, slung over my left shoulder or some forms of weight lifting could cause discomfort or pain in that area. Should I just let it heal like the doc says?

Although there is usually a large bump in the contour of the collarbone at the healed fracture site, this often becomes smaller with time, especially in young people. But a small bump may remain permanently.
