Stated in order to remove the what he describes my rare calcification
on the posterior third rib he would perform the operation in the following
manner-go in through chest collapse my left lung and remove by snipping
it off. However since it has not grown in one year he said he can not
justify removal. He will continue monitoring for a few years.

Hi there!

Yes, a tumour can technically be removed from anywhere in the body, unless there are specific contraindications.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
