Do I risk breaking my wrist again if I play golf?

I broke my wrist about 6 weeks ago and I have had my cast off for almost two weeks. My doc said to wait 4 weeks after I got my cast off before I start playing golf again. However, I have started to play a little again just swinging softly. A few days ago I tried out some normal swings and my wrist felt fine with no real pain and my wrist feels about how it used too. If I start to play fully again before the 4 weeks am I really risking hurting my wrist again? I did not break it golfing.

Hello!

It takes 4 weeks for any fracture to completely heal. A fracture heals by a callous formation. Once it has healed a further 4 weeks would be necessary to completely gain strength.

It is good to know that you do not have any pain, continue your daily normal chores and routines and I would suggest you to restrict any form of sport till the period as the orthopedician suggested.

Take care!

I am not a doctor but I would really wait if I were you. Doctors give us restrictions for a reason. Wouldn't you hate it if you had to miss golf for an addional 6 weeks just because you didn't listen to him? So what you have two more weeks? I'd wait
Take care
