Ankle pain two years after surgery

I had tendon repair and reconstruction on my left ankle approximately two years ago with placement of fiber wire. Recently my ankle has started to hurt again on the outside of the ankle bone. MRI was ordered and was clear. Doctors are not sure what is going on. Any ideas? Doctor put me in an ankle brace for two months.

I think this is common on surgically repaired body parts.  Doesn't mean that's what's happening to you, you could have twisted it or you have a bad shoe or lots of things, but often surgery leaves a body part permanently weakened.  This can sometimes be fixed by a good rehab.
