Fosamax following femur break
My son has been taking a daily dose of Fosamax since suffering a C7 spinal cord injury three months ago. He is on Fosamax after developing Heterotopic Ossification in his right hip area. Last week he suffered a femur fracture in his right leg. I am questioning whether he should be taking the Fosamax now due to the fracture that he suffered. Will Fosamax interfere with normal bone healing?

However, the decision to continue or quit would need to be taken by his treating doctor; keeping in view the initial condition for which it was advised and the risks Vs benefits.
