Weight bearing and ROM with broken foot

I am two weeks into a Jones Fracture. I've had the same fracture on the opposite foot years ago and it healed well in 3 months. I'm wearing an orthopedic boot, supplementing Ca/D/K2 and using a bone stimulator. After two weeks the swelling is massively reduced and there is no pain.
Can performing active, non-resisted range of motion exercises be harmful to the healing process? What about slight weight bearing? Note that neither activity causes any pain. Is there any research on this subject?
