Middle foot pain

My middle foot has been hurting somewhat for a couple of days now. I skateboard regularly. Age: 17. 2 Years ago I had left knee surgery. The pain though is in my right foot. It sort of pulls and I can feel the pain when I lay my outside side of the foot on the floor. Last week I took a 4-day break off skating and the pain went away. I have skated for 3 days now and the pain is back. It's in the area of where the middle-foot bone(sp?) goes up to the ancle. I am under the impression that it's a little swollen and the area definitely feels harder than on my left foot. If needed I can post a picture to show where the pain is.

hi,
the foot is doing just fine. I don't feel any pain when walking, just a slight annoyance. I can walk perfectly, jump too. I don't see any swelling. it's just pain when I lay my outside side of my foot flat on the ground..

Hi bluejay36, how are you? How is your foot pain? Is there a swelling, which is either localized to middle foot or diffuse? Are you able to bear the weight/walk properly on the foot? I suppose you have a foot sprain due to a minor injury while skating which you might not have noticed or ignored at that moment. Do take complete rest and apply heat locally after gently rubbing a pain gel. Over counter painkillers will help you temporarily. Apply a crepe bandage firmly. Avoid skating till you get better or certified fit by doctor. Do consult an orthopedician and get physically examined and if required a x-ray. Keep updating and take care.
