Numbness and stabbing pain to leg? caused by Labral Tear???

Hi there

I am only 30- I had a bad accident on a tram two years ago- I have a labral tear to my right hip which was Finally found through MRI and a fantastic Physio who wouldnt take the fact that I was in massive pain all the time to the point of where I cannot walk properly as just a mucsle damage. I was flown backwards in the air and hit the right side of my body into a metal barrier.

I have had surgery to my right rotator cuff in my shoulder and experience terrible back pain... and then there is the pain in my hip.

I have been reading alot of forums and experience the same pains in the hip and groin and tail bone recently. because I have been limping for almost two years I now have pain in my right knee and foot.

But... I also get this terrible numbness in my right thigh where my leg goes totally dead numb and then I get a "pins and needles" sensation and then an extremely violent stabbing pain into the outside of my thigh.. does anyone experience this and do you think it is because of my hip? It is so bad that it wakes me from sleep screaming.

I have a hip operation in 4 weeks.

Does any one have any insight to the leg issues?

my sports dr. thinks i have a labral tear aswell. and he asked me if i had numbness on the affected side and i said yes. my numbess comes at random times too but not when i'm sleeping, more when i get up after sleeping or resting. so more than likely its the cause of our numbness. it surprises me that theres not more information on the net about it. and these dr.s nowadays dont believe us when we say it causes tremendous amounts of pain. idk why they dont but it pisses me off. the pain i felt was so bad that i was walking like a chicken with a broken leg on crack. good luck with your surgery hope u feel better.

I am 17 years old I tore my labrum my freshmen year of high school playing volleyball and basketball. I am having surgery next month to fix this but as of now I can't hardly walk, it hurts to sit down and I get horrible shin splints when I try to walk normal. My knee is tingling and my lower back always feels strained. I have read tons and tons of articles over this and this is very common through a torn labrum. I hope your surgery goes well.
