Open reduction internal fixation of distal humerus fracture

I had an ORIF of my humerus in 2016. I have a plate and 5 screws, I have had occasional pain when I would overuse my arm or in the cold.
However, for the past four days I have been experiencing tenderness to touch and pulsating pain at my surgical site, and it is very persistent, it for of feels like I have a bruise but I don't see any bruising or swelling it just hurts when I touch it and extend my arm. I don't really understand why the pain is there, I don't recall doing any straining work with my arm.
Any advice.
I have an appointment in 2 weeks but I would like some feedback,
Thanks!

Hey there.  You know, I think you need to go to the orthopod to get this examined.  Surgical screws and plates for most people do not end up causing pain or symptoms but they can.  If they become loose or irritate tendons nearby, they can do this.  See your doctor and see what they say.  I see you are going in two weeks.  My gut tells me you are one of the unlucky folks that has an issue with that hardware.  Let me know.
