Labrum tear and paralabral cyst - second opinon?

Hello, I recently had an MRI on my shoulder which has bothered me for over a year. After my follow up with the PA he told me that my posterior, inferior labrum tear is degenrative in nature. He suspected a rotator cuff tear which is intact and fine. Since I am 54 years and the fact that this is a natural progression in some individuals as we age, He said that 'doc' doesn't like to to these on older individuals since I do have good range of motion and strength. He kept telling me its a long recovery, which I know.  I did do the full round of PT/OT and (2) cortosone injections which have helped. I do get pain in the morning and if I do certain actions. I always know when its bothering me. I hunt a lot using a compound bow, but now cannot do that sport. I thought the option for surgery to correct this would be mine to make. I would only want to be back to 100% which may not be the case after surgery. I don't know. I am very active and in good shape. Thank you.
