Proximal Hamstring Tendon Surgery, Muscle Condition Post Surgery?

I had surgery 4 weeks ago to reattach 75% of proximal tendon (biceps femoris) unit retracted 4 cm. I've been in a 90 degree brace since surgery, which I am allowed to take off if I keep my leg at 90 degrees.

The muscle is very jiggly inside the leg and the belly of the hamstring seems to sit lower on the leg than it should, which I can feel and see from the side and back when I'm on my knee scooter and looking in the mirror. Is this a normal/reasonable condition for the muscle to be in? From the injury? Trauma? Immobilization? Atrophy? Will this "correct" with time, strengthening and PT?

Thank you
