Scapula Pain and Headaches

Hi, I have been having major problems with constant dull headaches (only really hehind the eyes and temple) that seem to radiate from my right shoulder, and rhomboid/scapula pain for about 1.5 years now and have pretty much given up.  I have done Right AC Joint, Right Scapula, Cervical, and Thoracic MRI's along with X-Rays of everything with no major findings. Had facet joint injections in C5 and C6 and epidural cervical injection without relief. Also had injection in AC Joint with no relief. Have also done posture/shoulder strengthening therapy, myofacial therapy, neck strengthening therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture with no improvement. Only major relief came from lidocane injection into sore muscle/tendon on top of scapula, think it was infraspinatous or something, but i felt awesome all day and then the pain was back later that night and never went away. The pain gets increasingly worse when i do scapular strengthening excercises but i still have been doing them for the past 4 months with no improvement, and my rotator muscles are now very strong.  Only real mechanical problem i can see is that I had a grade 3 Right AC Joint separation from hockey 5 years ago that may have healed wrong and have alot of popping behind my scapula that started a few years ago and seems to have gotten worse. I am only 23 and dont want to live with this forever, please let me know what i should do or who i could see that can help me figure this out because it seems like someone who knows alot about the scapular problems could help me as know one else has helped in the past, and cant find a specialist in this exact topic.

I have the exact same symptoms that you have.  Have you received any help yet? I've been going to the doctor, physical therapy, and a chiropractor....no help so far. THANKS!

Hello Dear,
The pain is due to your previous injury which had resulted in the separated shoulder. The initial treatment of a separated shoulder consists of controlling inflammation and rest to the joint which I believe you must had taken.
Did you then undergo any surgery? What was the course of treatment you underwent?
Also you can take painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and diclofenac on a SOS basis.
Best
Take care
