i have had a clicking when rotating my arms forward (left side), not backwards. i get stabbing pains in bicep, pain in tricep trying to lift 10-plus pounds. i have had tingling on back between shoulder and neck on left side. it hurts REAL BAD when they push on my shoulder. i have had 3 steroid shots, ibprofen for months, bio freeze, med rox, ice, heat, etc. the clicking doesn't happen all the time. i can't put my arm all the way back, it hurts like heck when dr tried bending it in certain positions. this is all on my left side, i am right handed. i also have had carpel tunnel surgeries on both hands. i am waiting to get an appointment with shoulder specialist, so in the mean time, any suggestions what it could be???

Dr vinod took the words right out of my mouth!  I experienced all of those symptoms and more - but my shoulder problems also included severe osteoarthritis - and ended up resulting in a total shoulder replacement.

Best of luck!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Rotator cuff signs and symptoms would consist of shoulder pain and also deltoid muscle pain in your upper arm, weakness during shoulder functions and also clicking in the shoulder with popping a prominent feature in some people.  It occurs in a dominant arm and the pain may interfere with sleep and worse at night. There is problem with lifting of weights with the effected shoulder and decrease in ability to move the arm, especially out to the side. If this is an acute presentation you have a severe pain shooting through the arm with motion limited by pain and muscle spasm. I would suggest you to visit an orthopedician.

Take care!
