How many injections are normal?

I have been diagnosed with a herniated C5-6 disc with another bulging disc.  I just had my 2nd neck injection. Dr. says that if this does not work, I should consider neck fusion.  Physical therapy did not help.  What are your recommendations? The doctor I saw is a physiatrist, not a surgeon.  Thx.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

I would suggest you to try conservative treatment as long as it fails and only to consider surgery as the last resort.

Try some steroid shots 3-4 times, continue taking pain killers and also consider proper physiotherapy.

It is important for you to restrict movements and adopt some lift style modifications.  You have to adopt proper postures during sitting, working and sleeping.

Take care!
