What are new metal plates 'supposed' to feel like?

On the 12th of Sept of this year I had metal plates and screws fitted in order to help heal a fracture in my elbow. It has been just under 2 weeks since. There is no bone pain, however there is quite some pain when the muscle is used to make a fist. It feels around particular areas where I believe the screws were placed. I'm not overly concerned as the surgery was less than w weeks ago. But does anyone have any experience with this? I'm guessing it is my muscle getting used to the plate presence.
