Hi there, I have a question about my knee. It all started when i was playing football, i got cut, incase you don't know what that means, i got hit in the knee from the side. When i was hit my left leg bowed inwards and i felt a pop followed by what i describe as an explosion of pain, when i jumped up thinking i had just twisted it and the pain would go away, it didn't, i barely made it off of the field because my leg was unable to bear my weight and i was unable to straighten it out or bend it all the way. Once on the sidelines they did some tests i think the lachman's, and told me my acl was loose, but i probably just had a bone bruise. Well i called my ortho, and he said that he believes due to the way i have gotten hit, i might have a partial tear in my acl, if not i have stretched it out even more than before, i had hurt this leg 3 months earlier playing soccer, then when i get to his office, he tells me that i have probably tore my mcl, might have a tear in my acl, and i might've torn my meniscus. Could this all be possible? because everything i've read about knee injuries always envolves swelling, and mine never got swollen too bad, and i can still walk, but it hurts a little bit i have a limp, and if i twist or anyhthing it hurts, and my knee has this rubbery feeling to it on the outside. What do you think it could be? Is what the dr told me even possible? I know i need an mri to tell for sure, but i have to wait until friday to get that, i just wanted to see what someone else thinks because like i said, i'm walking and everything and i just dont see how anything could be torn. thanks for the help.
