Complete tear of the medial patellar retinaculum .

MRI OF THE RIGHT KNEE JOINT
MRI of the right knee joint has been performed using T1W, T2W ,STIR & PD sequences in multiple planes .

IMAGING FEATURES :-
There is complete tear of the medial patellar retinaculum at its femoral attachment with mild subluxated patella. There is associated carnival displacement of patella , suggesting patella alta .

There is train involving anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament .

Bones forming the knee joint show normal cortical outline and marrow signals .

Posterior cruciate ligament reveals normal signal intensity .

The anterior and posterior horns of the medial and the lateral menisci reveal normal morphology and signal intensity.

Lateral collateral ligament appears normal.

Minimal joint effusion is seen .
