What is patellofemoral chondrosis?
My MRI indicates Patellofemoral chondrosis with focal cartilaginous defect involving the posterior medical femoral condyle ( 2 mm in width focal region of greater than 50 percent cartilaginous thinning involving the posterior medical femoral condyle with subcondral signal changes)
Basically Patellofemoral chondrosis is a technical term of loss of knee cartilage. The other part basically tells you where the issue is. Well, tells your doctor. Are you having issues that caused you to get the MRI? When do you follow up with the orthopedist.
