I was in a car crash that led me to have a fractured right radius. I had a plate put in to fix it, but a screw was put in crooked and was rubbing in my wrist joint. After healing and having the plate removed by a new ortho, he said that I have severe arthritis in my wrist and a tfcc (sp?) tear due to how badly the first surgery was done, something about the radios and ulna some how shifting my wrist bones out of alignment. We decided on ulnar shortening to help stop the pain and also a scope to fix the tear. This did not help and the hardware severely bothered me. So, we took out that hardware and also did a neurectomy (sp). Again, I'm not having any releif. I've had 3 steroid shots that last for a week or so, and now we are looking at fusion being the only option left. Are there any other alternatives of any type I can seek besides immobilizing my wrist? Thanks for any feedback.
