Why is my knee hurting?

Two hours ago,  I fell about three metres and landed with all my weight on my left knee. I felt no click or immediate pain, but when I tried to move it, it was shaky. I rested and applied ice, but everytime I put even a little bit of weight on my left leg, it hurts in the area of the lateral collateral ligaments. Have I damaged a ligament or tendon? Approximately when will I be able to walk again?
Thanks in advance,
Haylee.

Thankyou, it has been 24 hours and the pain has subsided slightly. I still can't walk painfree, but am able to limp when I have to get somewhere. Your advice was helpful :)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Do not attempt to walk or do any weight bearing on your left knee.

Rest, apply ice packs and take some anti inflammatory drugs to decrease the pain and inflammation.

As you landed with all your weight on knee joint you might have damaged something and you would need a thorough examination if the pain and inflammation do not subside in couple of days. You also would need an X-ray.

Take care!
