Wrist injury and work comp advice needed

Fell at work, diagnosed with a completly torn ligament, scapho-lunate disassociation and possible slac wrist. That happened in November 2011. No insurance, work comp covering. Seeing very reputable specialist, but he really acts as though he's not interested in my problem. Had me do 3 months therapy?? for torn ligament?? To date (10 months now), wrist still slightly swollen and painful, nothing else done to repair injury. Complaints to work comp ineffective. think they're pulling doc's strings. Should I get a lawyer? I'm not looking at a big settlement, so may me cost prohibitive. Don't know where to look for advice. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

When dealing with workers and comp and getting nowhere it is a good idea to get a lawyer. Look up the workers comp laws in your state. Also ask around others might know of a good worker comp attorney.

Good luck,
