ac separation question

this last september seperated my ac in my shoulder...there was bad pain for a while ..i didn't see anyone about it..no health insurance..well i thought it would heal it's self..but it's not doing very good..lots of pain when i sleep or work..also very weak in this shoulder... i have hep c which may make this take longer then normal to heal..i also plan on going on chemo or the hep this year ....when i read about the 3 stages i see it says 12 weeks to heal...when this happend it was a very load long sound that lasted for probably a full second..i believe i should get x rays to see whats up...i'm gettting worried about the future if i'm distroying something in there...or do i just give it a couple years to heal?? there is a pretty big lump like a bone sticking up on my shoulder but i see in pictures on the net and the lump seems common..any input???thanks...billy

Hello!

Till you have Hepatitis and jaundice and your liver functions have not got back to normal you cannot have fat and you should always restrict protein.

I would suggest you to check your liver function tests and then plan a diet accordingly.

Take care!

thanks a lot...i do take very good care of myself..i don't drink..don't smoke..eat as good of a diet as i can..i'm the right weight..the thing thats funny is i can get some real nasty cuts...some deep with lots of stiches and they heal really fast..but my breaks or sprains seem to take forever..now that i'm writing this out i wonder if it's not enough calcuim in my diet...i haven't been eating much red meat for the last 4 years..although this hep c always seems to have "stuff " going on and i am 57 years old....so i don't know..could be a combo of age and hep c..thanks again....billy

Hello!

I would suggest you not to exert the effected shoulder and go for scans for a proper diagnosis. Do not do any weight lifting till properly diagnosed. If required go for both X-rays and MRI and then follow up with an orthopedician.

Active infection with hepatitis C will surely take time in healing and I would suggest you to take all dietary precautions for hepatitis C and follow up with a specialist.

Take care!
