acl tear after surgery

hi, i had new acl put in after tearing it. It has been a few months after the surgery, and the other night i hyper flexed the knee. The knee hurt for about 15 seconds, and then felt fine.I think there is a tiny bit of swelling, but im not sure. My question is if i retore it, would it hurt to walk on? would it swell? and how do i know? I dont want to have to go through that long process again.

Yes, if you have severe pain and inflammation and your symptoms returning and progressing are the ways to confirm retear.

Tiny bit of swelling may be due to the position you flexed it, but try to reshedule the appointement early as while examining any orthopaedician can make out and it wouldd be easy for you not to restrict so much in your activities if you do not have any problem.

I have an appointment with the surgeon in about 2 weeks, that im going to try to get switched to next week. Is there any way to know if I had torn it again?

Do not disturb your knee further and go to the orthopaedician for examination and if required an MRI. If everything is fine then do not exert undue pressure on knee till you gain enought strength.
Just relax and find out the present status and do not panic, as in most cases you might have not retorn.
