Hi there!
The MRI describes an inflammatory oedema (swelling due to fluid accumulation) in the fat pad near the Achilles tendon, which could occur secondary to injuries or inflammation. There is slightly increased fluid in the posterior part of the subtalar joint (part of ankle joint), which may be normal in some people or may indicate a mild inflammation. If you do not have any symptoms otherwise, these findings may be taken as normal. However if there are noticeable symptoms, you may consider an evaluation by an orthopedician for appropriate management.
Hope this helps.
Take care!
I hit my ankle back in June and I still can not walk right. I feel heat in my ankle while my toes are cold. I work at place where I'm on my feet for 8 hours and after being on it for an hour I feel like a bone is trying to come out my ankle, yet the doctor say's there is nothing wrong.
Hi again!
Well, I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for appropriate management. Alternatively, you may try resting the foot and avoiding ankle movements for about 2-4 weeks. Ice-packs and OTC NSAIDS may also be helpful in providing relief. If things do not seem to get better with these measures, you may consider consulting an orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
