coccyx pain for 2 months

I'm truly hoping someone might answer!
i'm 63 yrsold - actually had coccyx pain as a kid, as I remember! I was stuck on a plane for 10 hrs the middle of Feb - that night I started to experience coccyx pain.... chiropractic is not helping. Had an mri of spine but not coccyx - nothing. Sometimes it is ON the coccyx, sometimes on either or both sides - a very dull ache - sitting is near impossible! Some days not bad - I think it's gone - other days unberable. I have the pillow, stretch, etc - you name it. I have an appt with an orthopedic dr in a week - ANY insights would be so appreciated!
