failed fusion

ok here goes lets start by telling u i was hit by a drunk driver traveling at 45 miles and hour AND IS CAUSED A HERNIATON BETWEEN  C4 AND C5 the doctor told me that he was going to fuse c4 and c5 and use a graf from my hip i had the surgery  5 months ago and the pain is worse then the surgery and does not seem to be getting better i had a catscan of the neck and the scan shows that c5 and c6 are fused not c4 and c5 now i have a non surgical fusion of c2 and c3 that happened when i was young and jumped off a blding so does anyone know how this will be corected my family doc tells me that the pain is worse due to the fact that that i still have the herniation between c4 and c5 and the nerve is being pressed on even more now and if i dont have the corection how bad will it get or can there be even worse things that can happen due to the nerve compression the pain is horrid but i am very scared to go under again that would leave c2 c3 c4 c5 and c6 fused in my neck thats like the whole neck i am vert lost very confused and dont know what to do anyone please if u have info or direction i could really use it some one asked me  the other day how this has affected my life and i broke down and cried for 15 minutes any and all help is appreciated thanks

THANKS FOR THE INFO I WILL CHECK IN TO THE THERAPY FIRST I WOULD MUCH PREFER THAT TO SURGERY AGAIN THANKS

You will have more complications and symptoms if your nerve gets compressed and the herniation increases, the bulge increases, the pressure increases.

Before you are faced with more complications if you can limit by physiotherapy it would be fine but if it is not possible as it depends from case to case you have to go for another surgery.

Assess the nerve damage and other neurological problems near a neurologist and keeping this in mind take whatever decision you want for surgery with your orthopaedician. Take care!
