kienbock disease stage 2 surgery

In June of this year my 2 year old so fell on my wrist which became very painful and swollen. After visiting both doctors and hospital (no xrays) they said it was tendinitis. Two weeks ago I revisited the my family gp and was sent for an xray which came back showing problems with the lunate bone in my left wrist. Following an MRI on Saturday and seeing an orthopaedic consultant today I have been diagnosed with Kienbock Disease at stage 2. The doctor has decided that surgery is the best option and scheduled this for 19th October. Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on recovery and what they have been through regarding pain relief etc

well i just recently had radial shortening surgery about a month ago, and was wondering if this is what you had done, and how your recovery and wrist are. this seems to be pretty rare and there's not much about it online that i can find so i'm hoping someone can give some input
