Wacked on the back/rib cage

I was leaning in to greet and shake hands with a family friend AND wacked pretty hard on the back/rib cage and something about It did not feel right. About 2 months later some improvement but still having some discomfort. I think the hit put a lot of sudden stress on the thoracic Spine, and i was leaning forward which Is a vulnerable position. It wasnt a friendly hit and quite a negative vibration putting a lot of sudden stress. Just wondering  what Is going on. I'm sleeeping a little better finally, but It hasnt been too fun dealing with. i'm exercising and got a deep tissue massage which was nice, and using some muscle relaxors. The main thing i'm worried about Is feeling weaker AND some pain... Whats next ? Anybody with some answers ?

Have you seen an orthopedic surgeon and gotten an MRI and X-rays?
