a poem I just wrote

Sown a Natural Body, Raised a Spiritual Body

How are the dead raised, with what kind of body do they come
Will it be a body like Jesus or one like Adam
What you sow does not come to life, unless it first dies
This lesson of nature, with our bodies, also applies

What you sow is not the body that is to be
God gives us a new body, as He has chosen perfectly
God creates heavenly bodies and earthly bodies
The glory of each, set by His own boundaries

What is sown is perishable, raised imperishable
A body, which for us is simply unimaginable
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in great glory
We must ask ourselves, are we truly worthy

It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power
A sight to behold, in all its’ heavenly wonder
Sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body
To live with Jesus and God for all eternity

The first man, Adam, became a living being
He was the true beginning of everything
The last Adam, Jesus, became a life-giving spirit
Who will take us to heaven with the sound of a trumpet

We have borne the image of the man of dust
When we die that body is ashes to ashes, dust to dust
The first man was from dust, the second man is from heaven
We shall also bear the image of the man of heaven

So it shall be with the resurrection of the dead
Everlasting life, for believers, is nothing to dread
First the natural body, then the spiritual one
All made possible, by God’s one and only Son.

Looks like this one is going to stay on the top of my forum list, at least as long as I have it sorted by last post, I guess the lord wants me to pay attention to something you've wrote in this.

So I'll just keep re-reading it maybe when I actually understand what he wants me to understand, he'll let it move down the list normally then.

Wonder why this one is staying up at top and my first reply still says I posted it 1 minute ago and I posted it 4 days ago?  Could it be the lord's hand at work here?

This is a nice poem, it portrays to me god's teachings as I've learned since childhood, (I'm episcopalian) mom was catholic, dad methodist so they met in the middle. :)

I've read this now, 12 times and it seems I understand it more and more each time I read it, keep up the good work.  Your pastor might even like you to share these with the congregation, have you ever done so?

These are real gifts from God.  Share them with the world.
