Sown a Natural Body, Raised a Spiritual Body
How are the dead raised, with what kind of body do they come
Will it be a body like Jesus or one like Adam
What you sow does not come to life, unless it first dies
This lesson of nature, with our bodies, also applies
What you sow is not the body that is to be
God gives us a new body, as He has chosen perfectly
God creates heavenly bodies and earthly bodies
The glory of each, set by His own boundaries
What is sown is perishable, raised imperishable
A body, which for us is simply unimaginable
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in great glory
We must ask ourselves, are we truly worthy
It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power
A sight to behold, in all its’ heavenly wonder
Sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body
To live with Jesus and God for all eternity
The first man, Adam, became a living being
He was the true beginning of everything
The last Adam, Jesus, became a life-giving spirit
Who will take us to heaven with the sound of a trumpet
We have borne the image of the man of dust
When we die that body is ashes to ashes, dust to dust
The first man was from dust, the second man is from heaven
We shall also bear the image of the man of heaven
So it shall be with the resurrection of the dead
Everlasting life, for believers, is nothing to dread
First the natural body, then the spiritual one
All made possible, by God’s one and only Son.
