I completed chemo for Ovarian Cancer Dec. 23.  My stomach is still such a mess.  everything I eat gives me gas and stomach issues.  Can I expect this to go away eventually?

Me too with the working out part.  I used to run 3 miles 5 times a week etc..  It has been a year since diagnosis and I can now say that I am starting to feel like my self.  My digestive systen was a mess.  Seems like it would only digest so much, stop take a break and then continue.  When they did the debulking, they leave nothing untouched, in order to look at everything they literally take your intestines out and lay them beside you, maybe this is too much info, but it lets you realize what you and your body went through and that is just the surgery.  A couple days ago, I ran by the treatment center and really felt so good and appreciative.  You will be feeling better.

Hello !  I just read our profile and I use to workout and eat properly too. Was at the gym at least 5 times a week.  So I can relate to how you feel.  This is going to take some time.  Your bowels have been through so much.  You might want to change your diet for a while.  Things will start getting better every month. Remember, it was only about 1 month ago you stopped treatment.  A natural remedy is ginger.  You might want to try beano or gas x if changing your diet doesn't work.  Ask your doctor before trying anything.  The nurses or the doctor might have some suggestions.   Good luck....Cindy
