Chemo treatment effective with ascites?
Has anyone had malignant ascites that didnt go away with certain chemos? And other chemo treatments that worked with the ascites? Which worked?
I have pleural effusion which is a form of ascites and it has not gone away with Cisplatin or Gemzar, now on Caelyx (Doxil) and it is still present. Get drained by a catheter twice a week and on oxygen 24/7.
My acites was very slow to dry up with taxo/carbo and took close to 5 months up to that point I had that nasty plural cathadar and was drained daily....
