Positive energy and prayer for Mel all day
My prayers are with you, Mel.
Mel,
I am so sorry to hear you aren't doing well. Please come back to the site. You have a lot of knowledge and can help many others. Also, remember that doctors do not have all the answers and there are survivors who defy the odds and surprise their doctors. I am hoping and praying this will happen for you! You are so young to be dealing with this terrible disease and I pray you can gain some quality of life and hope for the future.
Hugs and Prayers,
Shelly
We are all so blessed to have this forum, I know when I was having my own short battle, that I felt so much more empowered, just being able to let the Drs know, that I knew what they were talking about. The Drs here just rattle off all this medical jargon, and unless you know what it means, you just have to believe that they are doing what is right. Unfortunately, Mel was given the run around for years, before being diagnosed as borderline. I think she saw something like 10 Drs, before anyone would believe anyone her age could even possibly have ovarian cancer. She has been so disillusioned the whole way through, and her recurrence has been very aggressive. Also our health system in Australia is lacking so much. I remember a few months ago when she had to have an MRI, she was told, because of her type of cancer, she had to pay, yet if she had cervical cancer it would be free. Who gets to choose their cancer????, and even worse, who decides what type gets government funded, and which ones don't......It saddens me so much, that not only does she have to battle for her life, but also battle the health system. Anyway, thankyou so much for all your kind words and prayers, and I will let Mel know that love is being sent her way, from all over the world. What beautiful people you all are, bless!
Maurita
Mel, I hope you are able to come on the site and see the love and prayers being sent your way. If not, then I hope you can feel them. This disease is so rotton for so many reasons. It is so unfair at any age. But when it's someone who is younger, it stops us in our tracks a little more. I am so sorry you cannot find a doctor who is willing to take a chance on you. You have so much fight left in you, but I'm sure it's like a bucket of water in the face to hear the medical profession tell you there is no hope. My prayer for you is that you find strength and healing, and a doctor who will fight for your life as hard as you are.
Sending lots of love and hugs to you.
Gail
I,m very sorry to hear this about Mel, sending prayers and positive thoughts .

Thank you for letting us know. If I remember right she had a low grade cancer. So much more research needs to be done on the low grade chemo resistant cancer. She will be in my prayers. Marie
Thank you for letting us know. I remember her quite clearly. It has been a long time since she's posted. It sounds like you're in touch with her. Please let her know we're thinking of her and sending her our love. She is not alone even if the doctors are being insensitive. She is not forgotten.
