Irregular bleeding and a multitude of other symptoms.

Hi, I wanted to start with a little back history.  I am 13 years clear from Hodgkin's disease.  From the chemo that I had with that can cause secondary cancer so it's always in the back of my mind.
Over a year ago I started brown spotting for 2 weeks after my period ended. I was still breastfeeding and it was for over 2 years, so my doctor was  not too concerned because breastfeeding can cause abnormal bleeding especially the longer you do it. He ordered an ultrasound and that came back normal along with my pap.
Fast forward. A few months ago I went to see my gp because of extreme tiredness muscle weakness shaky hands headaches that can up last up to a week. And still the brown spotting.
They diagnoses me with hypothyroidism. I had expected to have my dose increased because most of my symptoms have not been alleviated. I am now almost on the meds for 3 months.
So I was thinking maybe I have some type of hormonal imbalance cuz I noticed the headaches are when I have my period.  I have the bleeding and I noticed in the last couple of months I have black hairs growing out of my neck and chin and breasts.  So I told my gyn this. He was concerned that I have the bleeding still so he did an endometrial biopsy. Which made me nervous so I looked up symptoms for cancers and realized I have also had sharp pains in my lower stomach. It's not everyday but enough that I have it noted on my list of symptoms from when I went to my gp.
I guess I'm looking anyone who has any similar experiences. I am trying not to panic.
I have a large family and usually talk to my sisters and mom but it's been a very trying time most recently and they  have more inportant things than listening to just worriedness.
Any advice, help or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

I have had 3 endometrial biopsies. It might of taken me more than a few days to get over them. I do not know anything about positive results they were all negative. It picks up uterine cancer not ovarian. Only an ultra sound or CT can show ovarian cancer.

I appreciated your response and while you helped ease my fears now I am having cramping that radiates when laying down to my hip bones. I have not had my usual brown spotting since the day of my endometrial biopsy but along with this cramping I am having clear continues discharge. From what I am reading cramps from the biopsy shouldn't last more than a couple days.  Friday can't come soon enough. Do you have any knowledge on that type of biopsy?
Also while I just assumed  my larger stomach was just from having 4 kids I'm starting to wonder if there is more to it. My waist is 5 sizes larger than my hips. I  literally do look like I'm 5 months pregnant.  I have noticed how big is in the last few months, with much frustration.

Hi, you seem pretty knowledgable in this area and would like to ask you a question.  I'll start with finding an enlarged supraclavicular left node in January 2015.  Was eventually referred to specialist at cancer center where he said it was very small (a little over .5 cm) and nothing to worry about.  Well a few weeks ago I noticed the node had gotten larger and went back to dr where he said it is definitely a node, definitely grew (about 1 cm) but, still too small to biopsy but to make an app with my obgyn for a full exam.  I did that and that dr said things looked fine, but my ovaries were a tad large and she couldn't get a good feel of my tilted uterus but seemed ok.  She recommended me to get an ultrasound done to explain why I have ascites.  That app is on tues.  now I've had a few bouts of night sweats, serious bloating, feeling full, and my stomach looks like I'm now 8 mos pregnant, however, I've lost 7.5 lbs in a week and a half.  Headaches are another symptom I have and my node is now even larger and no longer moveable.  I had my mother feel to see if she noticed its growth and she decided to press down firmly which caused me some discomfort followed by and overwhelming sense of nausea.  My overall body now just feels worn out, I'm extremely tired, and the headache is persistent.  I've also been bleeding  for going on 4 weeks now.  I've been on the depo shot over a year and haven't had but one period in that time, until this persistent bleeding now.  My question is, what should I expect when I go to ultra sound and what questions should I ask?  What is are the chances of a cancer diagnosis?  Also, since my mom pressed down on my node, it's been warm to the touch and feels bothersome, but not painful. If that makes sense?

Thank you for your response. Amazingly I read it and felt better. When I heard he wanted to do a procedure I didn't catch the name. Then when I wAs finished I saw what it was. Reading biopsy just thru me into a panic.  I hopefully now can relax until my appt.

Even with the Hodgekins you have a 1.4% of Ovarian Cancer in your life time. Most women are 50. The BRCA mutation ups the chances to  25% but the cancers that go with that are colon and triple negative breast cancer. The symptoms for ovarian cancer are due to bowel blockage and are weight loss while looking pregnant, vomiting constantly and diaphragm spasms.Uterine cancer is off the table with the endometrial biopsy.

What you have described are in line with Thyroid which can screw up your hormones. Sounds like your doctor is looking out for you. I would not worry. Even doctors do not totally understand a woman's cycles.
