I have had several ultrasounds and one MRI of my ovaries lately. I have a cyst on my left ovary that was large so they repeated in 2 months and it had grown, so my Dr. had me get an MRI which it had still grown, so she sent me to an OBGYN which sent me for another ultra sound and did the CA125 test and OVA1 test (which be careful because my insurance is not covering it) 17 is my result and a 4.3 on the other test. Anyway, I was suppose to go in for surgery on August 10th 2016 to get the left ovary removed and the right one looked at and some biopsies but when I went on medical leave my place of employment immediately cancelled my insurance so I have had to go back to work and cancel my insurance and I am freaking out because this is my body not theirs and I am no further to an answer now as I was at my first appointment back in January 2016. I also have fibromyalgia which the enlarged ovary and stress is causing alot more flare ups. Plus I have lumps that keep popping up around my lower back/spine. Okay sorry for venting but this is my last reading from the last ultrasound which is the one that has me most worried to to the wording and other things I have read on different sites that people have posted.
Okay so here is the impression note:
COMPARISON: MRI pelvis dated April 25, 2016
Uterus is been removed
Right ovare measures 3.0 x 2.1 x 2.1 cm with positive flow. Markers are present on the right ovary. there is a more dominant follicle with internal septation measuring 18 x 17mm. This has a simple internal septation.
Left ovary measures 7.7 x 6.0 x 5.6 cm. Left ovary contains a large anechoic cyst measuring 7.6 x 5.8 x 5.4 cm. Small peripheral internal septation. No internal solid component or internal vascular flow seen. In comparison to prior MRI examination, this structure has not significantly changed.
This was done a month after the MRI but the part that I do not understand is the (Markers are present on the right ovary) what does this mean?
Please help, my nerves have been tangled for 8 months and now they are just shot :(
