Ovarion problem?

I am 20 years old and for the past five days, i've been feeling quite uncomfortable in the pelvic area, like sometimes, I can feel something solid on my left side. Other times, it isnt there. I went in for pelvic exam and an ovarion check about a month ago and they said everything looked fine. I am experiencing on and off slight pain in the pelvic area (usually only when I wake up in the morning), sometimes, it hurts to touch it, I havent had my period in almost 2 months, i'm a bit bloated, and i've had irregular bowel movements for almost a year now. I am also lactose and gluten intolerant. My appetite hasnt gone away, infact, I eat way too much these days, I am very hungry. Even though I had some exams, Should I still be concerned about ovarion cancer?

I am not sure what forums you have been reading...but trust me when I say that there is no one here that is having an easy time dealing with an OVCA diagnosis and feels like it will eventually be fixed. Many of these women are fighting for their lives daily and going through hell with chemo and recurrences. Women post here everyday because they are frightened. If you take the time to read about these women's experiences you will see that.

What it seems you are expecting is a diagnosis here, but this forum is not meant to diagnose....it is here to offer support and advice. If you want a doctors answer...then there is an ask the doctor part you can go to. If you are asking whether this could be OVCA...of course there is, but the chances are very small that it is. There are so many things that have the same symptoms that you are describing....that is one of the reasons it makes it hard to diagnose OVCA because it is often labelled as something else.

I understand you don't have insurance, but if you are that afraid then the only option is seeing a doctor and getting an US. Even then that may not give you all the answers you are looking for. If you are not able to see a doctor then unfortunately you will not be able to get any of the answers you seek. Insurance or no insurance....this is your life you are talking about....and if you feel something is wrong then you should listen to your body and get some help.

There are options out there for people without insurance and there are women on this forum dealing with cancer without insurance. Some of them may be able to direct you where you can get help. But if you choose to post....remember that attacking these women who struggle everyday with this diagnosis is not the way to find answers. Take the time to read about them and you will see.

What gets on my nerves is that everytime I visit these forums, I feel like some think that OVCA is something that one can deal with eventually and fix...That's just how I feel. I'm only 20 years old and i'm uninsured, if I had this terrible thing, I would literally lose my mind. Because I could never in a million years be able to afford treatment. I don't qualify for any of the programs and my last job didnt give medical insurance. This forum is my only hope right now, and i'd really like some answers. Could this possibly be something else? Please, please don't tell me to see a docter. I can't right now. I'm still paying off my last doctor's visits...

I don't know that you should be concerned about ovarian cancer, but I think if you are worried that you should have an ultrasound. Tell your doctor everything you just told us and ask for an ultrasound if he doesn't suggest it.
