As Alex mentioned, there is a very low risk that this cyst is cancerous if you do not have a family history of ovarian cancer. If you did need to have it surgically removed, it is best to have just the cyst removed (cystectomy) and keep all your parts if the frozen section biopsy shows it is benign.
I had a 9.5cm ovarian cyst that looked somewhat suspicious and no history of ovarian cancer. My gynecologist rushed me into surgery and removed all my sex organs even though the cyst was benign. I have been paying the price of losing my vital organs ever since even though, at age 49, I was close to menopause.
Studies show that the removal of any part of the "reproductive" system (an ovary, tubes, the uterus) can wreak havoc on the endocrine system and hormone production. The ovaries of women who have all their parts produce hormones into their 80's for optimal health and well-being.
Unfortunately, many women lose their ovary(ies) and/or uterus when it is not necessary. Only 2% of these surgeries are for a cancer diagnosis. Cystectomy is a more delicate surgery than ovary removal (oophorectomy) so you may need to "doctor shop" to keep your parts. And if you are told this may be cancer, you should seek out a gynecologic oncologist. You may also want to make your wishes known in writing on the surgical consent form - what can and cannot be removed under what circumstances (cancer or benign). Verbal "agreements" between doctor and patient are not always honored.
Sorry for the novel but hope it helps!
I do not know about your specific case not being a doctor. Even benign tumors can grow very large. Also ultrasounds are not an exact science. I could be they did not see the first time as well. Statistically it is 98% it is not cancer. You have reason to be anxious since it is not easily explained. They might not know unless they do surgery. I have heard of benign cysts the size of grapefruits. Lets hope for the best. Waiting is hard I know.

I see the dr On the 28th I am just wondering will it continue to grow this fast and what are the risks of this . this is what it said: Large cystic appearance of the left ovary with measurements increasing in size. The greatest dimension now reaches almost 7 cm in size. Multiple septations again present.
What has your doctor suggested? Do you have a follow up appointment? They probably will do surgery possibly a hysterectomy as well as taking the one ovary or both.
