Chemotherapy without hair loss

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately, I have to go through chemotherapy and surgery again. My second opinion surgeon gave me the name of chemotherapy drugs that do not lead to hair loss. Unfortunately, I cannot find these names.

Is there anyone here who has been prescribed chemotherapy without hair loss?

Hello there. Sorry you didn't get a prompt answer to your question. Is there any update to your situation? Losing hair is traumatic.  I fully understand this.  I think a triaged approach to what you want from your treatment would help and am sure you discussed this with your doctor.  First and foremost, that the treatment is effective and purging the cancer and putting you into remission.  But retaining your hair can also be on the list of things you would like.  Lower on the list, but there.

Here is a list of chemo medications that rarely cause hair loss:
Paraplatin (carboplatin)
Carmustine
Methotrexate (Amethopterin, Mexate, Folex)
Mitomycin C
Mitroxantrone
Procarbazine
Raltritexate
Platinol (cisplatin)
Fludarabine
6-Mercaptopurine
Xeloda (capecitabine)
Streptozotocin

Thank you so much for your answer.
My doctor gave me Carbo + Doxil - I read testimonials on FB about Doxil - usually it doesn't cost hair loss.
I am waiting for my Paxman cooling cap, cardiogram and port the next week.
