I'm 49 and have ongoing bloating, gas, lower abdominal pain, low back aches and tired. I don't have a Uterus. I Had the same issues starting the end of last year and now I recently consulted a new Gyno. I was in too much pain for an exam so was sent to Ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a calcification on right ovary and something that starts with and F? on left ovary. I had a prior ultrasound in September that showed a collapsed cyst on left and a small cyst on right and no mention of a calcification. I was told collapsed cyst probably caused my symptoms and it needs time to dissipate.
This new radiologist told me the other ultrasound clinic is not as thorough as this one that found the calcification. I'm now awaiting the followup appt. with the new Doc. I had a good friend diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at 48 with very the same symptoms and she had regular yearly exams and it was found in stage 3.
How concerned should I be and what should I be asking my new Doc?
Thanks,
DM
