gyn onc recommendations

I have my GYN appt tomorrow.  I showed my lab work and tv ultrasound results to an Oncologist where I work (we don't have gyn oncs at my hospital)...he recommended that I see a GYN ONC.  I live in the Minneapolis area, does anyone have a recommendation?

The pre-cancer cells are something different. Not connected to ovarian cancer. Family history of ovarian cancer does mean you should be aware of symptoms, have thorough check-ups.  Yes.  In MN you have access to the best care available.  I wish you the best.  Marie

I had pre cancer cells removed from my cervix about 8 weeks ago. I am still experiencing crampy like feelings that are not normal and was experiencing them before the diagnosis and treatment. My great Aunt Dot died from ovarian cancer and my cousin had a full histerectomy at age 13 from ovarian cancer. I am worried that It could be genetic and I should seek a second opinioin outside of my normal obgyn. Any advice? I am in MN for work and see that there are some wonderful specialists here.

If I lived in the Minneapolis area I would seek an appointment with:

Linda F. Carson, M.D. - Gyn Onc
Department of Obstetrics, Gyn and Women's Health
The Mayo Clinic
Univ. of Minnesota
Telephone number to call for new patient appointments:
612-626-3444

Regardless of who you ultimately see, please let us know how things go.

Hey Nervous Nurse,

I am from Birmingham, Alabama but I searched for gyn/onc in Minneapolis and this is what I came up with.  You can call them and see if they can help you... Take care,
Megan
