laparoscopy for removal of tubes and overies

hi , this is the first time for me doing something like this , but here I go .. In 2010 I went in to have polyps removed and to have a partial hysterectomy , it turned out that I started hemorrhaging and they did a full leaving in my overies , and tubes , back in 2010 I had pain in my ovaries and they did nothing they said the pain and bleeding was from the polyps , it is now 2015 and I still have pain with intercourse , pain in my left ovary , that goes into by back , they did pelvic ultra sound , just showed that my ovaries are extremely small for my age of 47  ,  they now suggest ,a laparoscopy and remove the ovaries , and tubes ,  and to see if there's something there causing the pain , i,m  not sure if this is what I should do , also about , 6 weeks ago , I had a leep done to remove abnormal cells , my pap came back abnormal , and positive for hpv ,  , when test in 2010 I had a good pap , and negative  for hpv , truely confused , needless to say , my husbands and I have no sex life now , and we just where married two years ago after being together for 12 years ... Amy one shed some light !!!!!

Sorry for your suffering. I replied to your other post. I never heard of a laser treatment for menopause. Many women who cannot take hormones are allowed to use a vaginal estrogen (which does not get absorbed systemically). This may be worth a try for the vaginal atrophy. Some other options are a long-acting moisturized which you apply every few days (Replens) or inserting vitamin E gelcaps.

they to won,t give me hormones , since I have had cancer, a melanoma and family history , I have been suffering form menopause now for 5 years since the hysterectomy  , hot flash , no sex drive , and now the pain is back when I have sex , i can say i,m not dry , thank goodness , , my ovaries , he told me are smaller then most women my age , but I gather thats because of of hysterectomy. i,m afraid to have sex , because it hurts , and the last time I did I started to bleed besides the pain , it stinks!! Thanks for commenting !!

If your ovaries are hurting having them removed is not unreasonable. With out your ovaries and added hormones your sex life takes a dive. I no longer want sex plus intercourse is to painful from the dryness of the Vagina. I can't take hormones due to cancer. If they will give you hormones it will be okay.

Paps have nothing to do with ovaries so you do not have to worry about ovarian cancer. Many women have HPV it sometimes does not show up.
