malignant cyst, is it ovarian cancer?

I had my ovaries, tubas, uterus, omentum removed by surgery 2 weeks ago. Patology resume about right ovary  mentioned that inside right ovary, it had adenocarcinoma clear cell, the growth of anaplastic ephitel tumor cell, prominent nucleous, clear cytoplasm that performed hobnail, performed papiler structure. My CA 125 is 59 before surgery. In my country, not easy to find oncology/doctor who open to explain everything we need. My doctor just said that I had malignant cyst Stage 1C  & must do Chemo at least 3 cycles. CT Scan found nothing. I can't meet my onco since he is always busy & just told a little information. It's very hard to me since my plan to get married next december, hope I wont lose my hair when my wedding ceremony.Anyone please share, thank you

I am a 1C, also, and have had NED (no evidence of disease) since 2003.  I did 6 rounds of chemo and had a wig for work.  Went bald most of the time away from the office.  I agree with Dian; bald IS beautiful.  There may be a picture of me on my home page...don't remember.

You caught the OC early... that's a real plus.  Best of luck to you.

It's to bad you have to deal with ovarian cancer at all but you certainly got lucky finding it at such an early stage.
I too was diagnosed early....IC as well.  That diagnosis was made in April of 2005.  I had six rounds of chemo.  I think most of us do get six rounds.....I am not certain why you would get only three rounds.
ilisten is right when she says wigs look nice and can be found at reasonable prices.  I had one but rarely wore it.  I agree with hopeshell.....bald is beautiful !
Good luck to you and congratulations and best wishes on the wedding.
Peace.

yes, you have ovarian cancer, BUT you are stage 1 and that is wonderful news!!  It means that you are one of the ones who will probably survive a long time because stage 1 and 2 are considered a good prognosis. Yes, you should have chemo. Do as many rounds as they think you need. Yes, you will probably lose your hair by the 2nd round of chemo. I do not know where you are or your age, but if you go on line to Paula Young WIgs, you can find great looking wigs that are easy to care for and they are not too expensive. I wear one ... actually I ordered 3 so that I could switch them while they were being washed and dried so that they stayed looking nice ... and no one ever knows it is a wig. You will look fabulous for your wedding. I am thinking of you and wishing you the very very best.

I am really sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  Yes, those findings are ovarian cancer.  The good news is that you are early staged and you have wonderful odds of getting a long remission or cure.  I am so sorry to hear it happens at a time when are planning to get married.  Wigs or head scarves can help complete your look if your hair is still an issue at the time of your wedding.  But, bald is beautiful too!  It sounds like you are on the road to recovery.  Best wishes with your treatment!
