ovarian cancer at spread to para aortic lymph node

good day to all,

need info from anyone who can advice me what chemo or drug regimen can clear or stop the cancer in the para aortic lymph nodes . my wife had 7 sessions of chemo using carboplatin and taxol and had complete hysterectomy this february. but the ca won't go down to the normal she has ca at 55 now her cancer is clear cell which is more aggressive. it seems chemo drugs do not reach or not as effective on the lymph nodes. had ct scan of the whole abdomen and everything is clear except for the enlarged lymph nodes.

can anybody please help and inform me what course of drugs would be benefiicial .

thanks so much in advance.

Max

I have a tumor in that area, I posted Dr. Goodmanon aug, 15 that I was starting taxotere this week. She mentioned possibly adding avastin. Since I am having some blockage with bowels I am not sure we will try avastin. I don't have clear cell but stage 3c. Best wishes.

You need to keep trying the Medical forum .. it only allows a couple questions a day, but is an excellent way to get an answer .. once you post the question.  Search the Medical site as well ... this combo may have been already discussed.  In the meantime, I am sure someone will on this forum has had avastin and gem and will respond.  Good luck, Judy

Max,

You may want to post this question on the Ask the Expert Forum. Dr. Goodman is very knowledgeable and helpful with specifics about different chemotherapy options.

Best regards
