ovarian cyst

After  US at the ER, can some please explain my preliminary report which is 1cm homogeneous hyperechoic nodule or cyst at junction of R adnexa and uterine cormua. Could be small dermoid or lipoma or complex cyst or peripheral dermoid. No increase blood flow to this area. Trace free pelvic fluid.

Hi There
it sounds like a small bump on the ovary as described. It could represent just a normal irregularity to your ovary or a small benign growth. It does not have an active blood supply.

Usually a repeat scan in 6 months would be suggested to look for any changes
