What a great question, I too would like to know the answer to this. I may do some reading up...
Star....
Yes, Phisoderm...Gosh, I have not thought of that in years! My Mom (also a nurse:)) always had it around before the word "hand sanitizer" was coined! Great Stuff.

sorry got off the real topic, if you are concerned about doing the tables, can you wear rubber gloves?
I believe if I were to use a hand sanitizer it would probably be Phisoderm sp?? used this all the years as a Nurse, Leslee uses it per her onocologists orders to bathe with.
I would do some research in this area if I were you. OK...sorry... I know you are right now by asking this question, but I would google the words cancer and hand sanitizer if I were you and see what you get.
More and more chemicals are coming into our life, that is for sure. Years ago my friend lost her husband (at age 38) and they attributed the illness he got to the fact that he'd worked with paints his whole life (lead paint at the time, too).....
I have to very careful of many chemicals since I have a chemical sensitivity anyway. I will get a headache if someone has gone crazy with the Formula (what is that stuff called....) 409...and, I have to be very careful of perfumes, too...I get choked up in my throat. If I smell bleach, I get a headache... I know that there is a relationship between Cervical dysplasias (not HPV TYPE) and cigarette smoking (full of chemicals), so it makes sense to consider alternatives, but just be careful to not drive yourself crazy over this!
Also, my hands are so bad in the winter that if I use Hand Sanitizer at that time, the alcohol in the product makes me crazy with the stinging.
Good luck on your research!
Mary
