stomach discomfort after eating

I had three rounds of chemo (Carboplatin/Taxotere) with the last one ending in April of 08. My CA125 has started going up but the scan is clean. I have lost 40 lbs in the past 6 months or so. I am unable to eat enough quantity as I get a fullness indication with lot of burping. Stomach discomfort and bloating sometimes. I do better on liquid food. I am on Motillium to make the stomach move faster. I do not know whether this is an issue on its own or caused by chemo. I do even feel the hunger most of the time. I have the low grade OVCA. Any advice/sugestions?

Thanks for your encouragement and suggestions. I did have surgery in 2005 for removing a cyst on ovary. Did not find any cancer in the cyst. Path did find few abnormal cells (precancerous?) on oomentum and part of the oomentum was removed during surgery. Cancer came back on the outside wall of stomach. Went away after chemo in 07. I am seeing a specialist next week at MD Anderson for assessment and recommendation. Regards JIyer

You say that you have low grade ovca. Have you had surgery of any kind? If there is a tumor there, it could be causing some of the problems you mention. You might require a PET scan or MRI to see what is actually going on. But your Dr does need to be aware of it, so please contact him soon.

I would suggest you get in to see your gyn/oncologist.   You need to find out what is going on and address it head on.  That is a lot of weight to lose without trying.
Good luck and please do keep us posted.
Peace.

Have you had any gastro workups done?  I'm wondering if your small intestine is somehow restricted.  I can't really say if this is something related to chemo since chemo affects everyone so differently.  What is your Oncologist saying about it?  Has he/she referred you to a Gastroenterologist for further testing?
