6 cm cyst and prolapsed uterus

Hi everyone- I am having a mix of problems at the same time all of which are aggravating each other. I have a cyst on my left ovary that is simple, growing and it's the second this particular ovary has produced(two years ago it grew a 10 cm cyst which I had removed laproscopicly-it was in torsion and very painful.) Anyway, now my uterus is in between stage one and two prolapse and I have rectocele-(I have had three kids:I am 39). I am having horrible back pain that goes down the back of my legs (I also have a disc that is ruptured L4,L5) but I don't think my female organs are making this back pain any better. My OB will be seeing me March 24. I just saw my gyno two weeks ago. My husband still wants sex! This is so crazy, anyway I have had two sonograms, very painful. Any advice, I would appreciate. I can't wait for this to be over with. Oh yeah, I have to pee like crazy all the time, no urinary tract infection.

Thanks for everything!
Ingrid

Shelly-hello and thank you for you response. I have been having a difficult time. I went to my gyno who was very dear and suggested that I may need surgery but he did not do it himself and referred me to another OB who was not very helpful. The OB had the nerve to tell me that cysts don't cause pain. He had the attitude it was all in my head. I can't stand those type of Doctors. Your uterus could be on the floor and he would still insist it was all in your head! I went back to my gyno who diagnosed me first and said to get a second opinion and see if I could find someone to help me. Good News! My cyst ruptured on my left ovary bur another one is growing (this time complex on my right ovary). I am on birth control pills and am looking for a good OB on the treasure Coast of FLA...say a prayer! And thanks for the support; my husband is not being very considerate though. I have had problems with him hitting me in the past, so he is not the most sensitive guy. But I have three kids and I am sick so I am kind of stuck right now which is a terrible position to be in.

Hi Ingrid,

I am so sorry to hear about your symptoms.  A prolapes is very painful and it definitely will make your back pain worse!  You have too many areas of concern at once!  So, tell your hubby that right now you need a break! :)  This is just part of life.  He can pretend you just had a baby until you get to your gyn and get some help!

The frequent urination makes me think that your cyst is growing larger.  As cysts grow, they put pressure on the bladder and cause this symptom.  It sounds like you may be facing a hysterctomy in the future.  Be sure to write down your questions and talk about them with your doctor at your appt.  A MRI or CT can often give better information that the sonogram.  You might want to request one of these if your doctor does not offer it at your next appt.  I hope you feel better soon!  Please keep us posted on how you are doing!

Shelly
