Can a complex cyst cause a negative urine pregnancy test?

Does anyone know if a complex cyst (2cm) can cause a negative urine pregnancy test when in fact you could be pregnant?

Nobody has answered, so I guess nobody has heard of this.  Neither have I.  I think in very early pregnancy it is possible to get a false negative because levels are still too low to detect it.

I think a false positive is a more likely side effect of a cyst.

Sorry, not sure.  I have heard of a false positive but not a false negative.  Many women feel like they are pregnant when they have a cyst.  My breasts were so tender!
