Complex cyst on ovary

I've been diagnosed with a complex cyst on my right ovary.   I had the ca 125 blood test done and it came back normal.  In December I had a repeat vaginal ultrasound but they could not see the right ovary so I am going back tomorrow for another vaginal ultrasound.

Lately I've been in a lot of pain/discomfort on my lower right side.  Also,  mylower back right side has  been hurting a lot.  I was wondering if this is all related to the complex cyst?    Do other people with complex cysts experience lower back pain as well?

Thank you!

Thank you for the comments.   I had another vaginal ultrasound and this time they were able to see the right ovary and everything looked good--the complex cyst was gone.

The doctor believes endometriosis is causing the pain on my right side and back.   She put me back on Yaz (birth control).   I was on Yaz for several years to control the severe PMS symptoms I was having.   I got off PMS last summer  when I turned 50 because I wanted to get an accurate reading of my hormone levels which are normal.   It seems like once I got of Yaz I started having these problems--complex cyst, pain,
etc.   I've heard some horror stories about Yaz--women having strokes but my doctor assured me it was safe to take.

If this doesn't work then the doctor is recommending a laparoscopy and perhaps removing the endo and maybe ovary---depends on what they see.

My Dr. sent me for an MRI since they couldnt see my left ovary from the vaginal ultrasound. They saw a 2.5 on right side on ultriasound, when they did the MRI they found a 5.0 they were both complex.

I had pain on both my left and right side as well as my back. Since I just had them both removed my back pain has deminished.
