Cyst popped?

Two nights ago I was woken up by a loud 'pop' and as I turned over to reach for a glass of water felt a pain in my right side by my ovary.  Could this have been a cyst popping? I am 52 and have had cysts before (big ones).  Post menopausal by several years.  Is there any need for me to get this checked out?  I didn't bleed at all and no other symptons ie nausea.  Thank you for the advice.

Hello there,

Just read your comments. Are you aware that you have identified yourself
as a male, alital. If this is a mistake and you're a female, you know you
can press EDIT and fix it. Personally, I've never heard of a cyst on ones
ovary popping so loud that you would hear it.   Evewisewoman

Considering your age and medical history, it wouldn't hurt to go have it checked out by your doctor.  Blessings - Blu
